Fortis Hospital Mulund, in collaboration with the Department of Neurosurgery at HBTMC & Dr. R. N. Cooper Hospital, recently conducted a pioneering two-day Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery Workshop under the aegis of the Skull Base Surgery Society of India. This workshop marks the first 3D skull base anatomy and extended endonasal surgical corridor training program in Mumbai, setting a new benchmark for neurosurgical education in the region.
The hands-on program included a cadaveric dissection module on the second day, where participants practiced advanced techniques like Transorbital Neuroendoscopic Surgery (TONES), clival and petroclival approaches, and cavernous sinus strategies. National experts such as Dr. CE Deopujari, Dr. Atul Goel, and Dr. BK Misra, among others, led the training, combining 3D anatomical visualization with practical surgical judgment to boost confidence in complex skull-base procedures.
